Our instructor, Yin Hao, brewed tea for us yesterday morning! We had a taste of real Chinese tea, brewed the proper way and in the proper cups. :D

TEA! It was kinda tasteless but probably because I haven't learnt to appreciate it yet. It looks so dainty and pretty in the cup!
After that, we started to learn to play the dizi. It was a challenging task because although playing it is a lot like playing the recorder, there is still a specific way to blow the dizi to make the correct sounds.

Watching the pro do it.
Learning!

After trying many times, with countless ear piercing screeching sounds coming from our dizis, we managed to finally succeed in playing the dizi! Started learning the scale on the dizi, and tried a simple tune, 小蜜蜂.

After running through the song a few times, we started discussing the idea of a performance/video where all of us would play an instrument, chosen after we learnt all the instruments at the end of this week! Mr Ye let us stay in place and play the piano, talk to him, ask questions, before we finally left.
